Dart Monkey BTD6 Upgrade Paths
Use Dart Monkey when cost matters and the map gives it enough track contact. It is strongest as an early stabilizer, a cheap camo patch, or part of a Dart-family plan. It becomes weaker when you ask one cheap Dart to handle grouped rounds, lead, and late MOAB-class pressure without support.

What is Dart Monkey for?
Dart Monkey is a cheap starter and cleanup tower. It is useful for early rounds, simple camo coverage with Enhanced Eyesight, and later Dart-family Paragon planning. Its three major path identities are Ultra-Juggernaut for bouncing grouped damage, Plasma Monkey Fan Club for ability-based burst, and Crossbow Master for long-range single-target cleanup.
Upgrade routes
Three route identities, one Paragon family
Ultra-Juggernaut
Bouncing projectile damage for groups, ceramics, and obstacle-heavy maps.
3-x-xSpike-o-pult
4-x-xJuggernaut
5-x-xUltra-Juggernaut- Best when
- The map has walls, loops, or places where Juggernaut balls can bounce back through the track.
- Watch out
- On open maps without useful bounce angles, the path can feel much worse than it looks on paper.
Plasma Monkey Fan Club
Ability-based burst that turns a Dart setup into a temporary high-damage window.
x-3-xTriple Shot
x-4-xSuper Monkey Fan Club
x-5-xPlasma Monkey Fan Club- Best when
- You are willing to plan around ability timing, space, and multiple Dart Monkeys.
- Watch out
- It is less hands-off than simple cleanup paths and can be awkward if you forget the ability window.
Crossbow Master
Long-range physical cleanup with strong single-target pressure and easy camo access.
x-x-2Enhanced Eyesight
x-x-4Sharp Shooter
x-x-5Crossbow Master- Best when
- You want a readable, low-micro Dart path that helps clean up leaks from long range.
- Watch out
- It still needs support for lead and heavy late-game pressure.
Uses
Where Dart Monkey fits
- Start early rounds cheaply while saving money for a stronger main tower.
- Add Enhanced Eyesight when a small camo leak is the immediate problem.
- Use Crossbow-style paths for long-range cleanup on beginner and intermediate maps.
- Use top-path Juggernaut value on maps where bouncing shots can re-hit bloons.
- Prepare the Dart Monkey family for Apex Plasma Master when playing late-game or boss setups.
Mistakes
What not to ask Dart to solve alone
- Expecting one cheap Dart Monkey to solve lead without support.
- Buying top path on maps where the bouncing projectile has no useful geometry.
- Forgetting that Fan Club paths need timing and enough supporting Dart Monkeys.
- Treating Crossbow Master as a full late-game answer without buffs or MOAB planning.
- Waiting until the Paragon purchase moment to think about pops, tiers, and extra Tier 5 setup.
