BTD6 guide

Why Is My Paragon Degree Low in BTD6?

A low Paragon degree usually means one power source was missing or capped differently than expected. Work through the buckets before assuming the tower is broken.

Most likely reasons

The usual issue is not the visible purchase price. It is missing family pops, missing non-Tier-5 upgrade tiers, no extra Tier 5 towers, or not enough totems for the target. Co-op rules and patch differences can also change expectations.

  • Check whether the sacrificed towers actually earned enough pops.
  • Add non-Tier-5 upgrades across the tower family before merging.
  • Confirm whether extra Tier 5 towers are possible or relevant in your mode.

Do this before rebuilding

Open the calculator, enter the Paragon family and difficulty, then add the numbers you can verify. If the calculator lands near the same degree, the setup is missing power rather than suffering from a hidden bug.

When to use totems

Use Paragon Power Totems when the remaining gap is clearer than the missing bucket. They are especially useful after cash, pops, and upgrade tiers are already close to practical limits.

FAQ

Common follow-up questions

Can more cash fix a low Paragon degree?

Only up to the cash bucket cap. If the missing power is from pops, tiers, extra Tier 5 towers, or totems, more cash will not fully fix it.

Should I rebuild the whole setup?

Not immediately. First check the calculator and identify which bucket is missing. Rebuild only if the missing bucket requires earlier planning.
