BADRound 100BTD6 guide
BTD6 Impoppable Guide
Impoppable is not just Hard mode with a scarier medal. You start with one life, towers cost more than a normal Hard run, and the clear goes through Round 100, so the plan must survive early leaks, late ceramics, DDTs, and the BAD without treating CHIMPS rules as if they still apply.

To beat BTD6 Impoppable, build like a careful Hard-mode economy run that must reach Round 100. Cover camo before Round 24, lead before Round 28, the first MOAB before Round 40, ceramic rushes before Round 63 and 78, DDTs before Round 90, dense blimps before Round 98, and the BAD plus children on Round 100.
The cleanest beginner plan is one efficient early defense, a hero that fits the map, modest farming only after the next danger is solved, one supported main damage core, and a late-game purchase that actually handles DDTs and the BAD. Unlike CHIMPS, you may use income, selling, Monkey Knowledge, powers, and Insta-Monkeys if your account and run allow them.
- Do not leak. Impoppable starts with one life, and life gain is not a reliable part of the plan.
- Expect higher prices than a normal Hard Standard run, so every early tower needs a job.
- Use farming as a timed tool, not a habit; a Farm bought before a missing defense check can lose the run.
- Plan past Round 80. Impoppable ends after Round 100, so DDTs and the BAD matter.
- If you are practicing for CHIMPS, remove the crutches mentally even though Impoppable allows them.
What Impoppable changes
In standard BTD6 play, Impoppable sits on the Hard difficulty branch and is unlocked after Alternate Bloons Rounds on a map. Current Blooncyclopedia documentation lists three practical changes from ordinary Hard Standard: towers and upgrades cost more, the player starts with one life and cannot gain more, and the mode runs from Round 6 through Round 100.
That combination changes the shape of the run. The first half feels like Hard with no life buffer and worse prices. The second half becomes a late-game round checklist because Super Ceramic behavior and MOAB-class scaling after Round 80 are now part of the normal clear.
- Round range: starts on Round 6 and requires completing Round 100.
- Life pressure: one leak is usually the run, so cheap early coverage matters.
- Cost pressure: higher prices make inefficient early upgrades more painful.
- Late pressure: DDTs, dense fortified blimps, and the Round 100 BAD are required planning checks.
Impoppable versus CHIMPS
Impoppable is a good bridge into CHIMPS, but the modes are not the same. CHIMPS removes continues, life loss, extra income, Monkey Knowledge, powers, and selling. Impoppable keeps more of the normal game available, so economy and account progression can help you clear the medal.
Use that flexibility deliberately. If the goal is only to beat the map, farming, selling a temporary tower, or using a power can be reasonable. If the goal is to prepare for CHIMPS, run the same map with no Farms, no selling, no powers, and no Monkey Knowledge assumptions so the practice actually transfers.
- Use Impoppable to learn Round 90-100 pressure before CHIMPS.
- Do not assume a Benjamin or Farm-based Impoppable plan will transfer to CHIMPS.
- Do not assume Monkey Knowledge starts or discounts when testing a future CHIMPS opening.
- Keep notes on the rounds that fail; those are usually the same planning gaps CHIMPS exposes harder.
Build by round windows
The safest Impoppable plan is a sequence of spending windows. Early rounds need a compact defense with no leaks. Midgame needs property coverage and the first blimp answer. Late midgame needs ceramic cleanup and ZOMG damage. The final stretch needs DDT-compatible damage and enough BAD damage to finish Round 100.
When a run fails, change the purchase tied to the first failing window instead of rebuilding the whole defense. A Round 63 loss is usually a cleanup or pierce issue. A Round 95 loss is usually DDT compatibility, speed, or control. A Round 100 loss is usually BAD damage, post-BAD cleanup, or poor track time.
- Rounds 6-39: stable starter, hero timing, camo, lead, and first MOAB damage.
- Rounds 40-79: one supported damage core, ceramic cleanup, and Round 80 ZOMG readiness.
- Rounds 80-89: stop casual greed and prepare the DDT layer before it arrives.
- Rounds 90-100: combine DDT coverage, dense blimp damage, BAD damage, and cleanup.
Farming without throwing
Farming is allowed in Impoppable, and that is one of the biggest differences from CHIMPS. The risk is timing. A Farm does not see camo, pop lead, slow ceramics, or damage the Round 40 MOAB, so a greedy Farm can make the run weaker before it ever pays back.
A practical rule is to farm only after the next required defense check is already funded. If you have camo and lead covered, an early Farm may be fine. If Round 40 damage or Round 63 cleanup is still missing, the Farm should wait. Once the defense is stable, Farms can help you afford stronger Round 90-100 answers.
- Farm after solving the next checkpoint, not before it.
- Use selling only as a planned transition, not as a panic habit you expect CHIMPS to allow.
- Pause economy before Round 90 if DDT-compatible damage is not ready.
- Use the Banana Farm guide for broader economy choices, then apply stricter timing here.
Good tower jobs for Impoppable
Pick towers by jobs instead of copying a fixed tower list. You need early reliability, camo and lead coverage, sustained MOAB-class damage, ceramic cleanup, DDT compatibility, and BAD damage. The best tower on one map may be weak on another if it gets poor track time or needs too much support to work.
Support is often what turns a good tower into an Impoppable tower. Monkey Village can share camo and attack support, Alchemist can improve the right damage core, and slows or knockback can buy time for everything except the BAD layer. Do not buy support before there is a damage tower worth supporting.
- Early stability: choose starters that keep contributing after the first few rounds.
- Camo and lead: make sure the main damage can hit the properties, not only a side tower.
- Ceramic cleanup: keep pierce, high attack rate, slowing, or cleanup near strong track coverage.
- DDTs: combine camo detection, lead-compatible damage, black-compatible damage, speed control, and MOAB damage.
- BAD: bring raw damage and keep cleanup for the ZOMGs and DDTs released after the BAD breaks.
Hero choice
Impoppable hero choice can include economy because CHIMPS restrictions are not active. Benjamin can be useful if the defense survives while his income value builds. Sauda can be efficient on bend-heavy beginner maps. Quincy remains a readable low-cost starter. Etienne can simplify camo support once his global camo coverage comes online.
The hero still has to match the map. A short-range carry on a straight or split map can force extra spending. An income hero placed into a defense that is already leaking does not fix the immediate problem. A high-micro hero can be strong, but only if you can manage abilities without missing leaks.
- Pick Sauda for repeated close-range track contact.
- Pick Quincy for simple early damage and predictable ability timing.
- Pick Etienne when camo support would otherwise make the support layout awkward.
- Pick Benjamin when the opening is already safe enough to let economy ramp.
- Avoid forcing a hero whose main strength the map or mode cannot use.
Use Powers and Insta-Monkeys honestly
Impoppable allows more tools than CHIMPS, so powers and Insta-Monkeys are valid if you want a medal and do not mind spending consumables. The important part is knowing what they solved. If a power hides a missing Round 40 or Round 95 answer, the next map will expose the same weakness again.
For learning, use help only after naming the bottleneck. A single early boost or Insta-Monkey can stabilize an awkward map. Randomly stacking consumables makes the clear less useful as a guide because it no longer shows which tower job was actually needed.
- Use consumables deliberately if the medal matters more than a reusable route.
- Practice without consumables when preparing for CHIMPS or black-border work.
- If the same round always needs a power, improve that round's tower job.
- Do not write public strategy around paid help or account-specific unlocks as the only answer.
Common Impoppable mistakes
Most Impoppable losses come from treating the mode like either ordinary Hard or full CHIMPS. Ordinary Hard habits leak early because one life leaves no buffer and higher prices punish waste. CHIMPS habits can leave useful tools unused when the goal is simply clearing the Impoppable medal.
Review losses by the first failed requirement. If camo leads leak, the problem is not total damage. If DDTs leak, the problem is not always raw MOAB damage. If Round 100 fails after the BAD breaks, the cleanup plan may be missing even if the BAD layer popped.
- Over-farming before camo, lead, MOAB, or ceramic checks are handled.
- Stopping the plan at Round 80 even though Impoppable continues to Round 100.
- Buying support that does not cover the actual main damage tower.
- Saving for a large late upgrade while Round 90 DDT compatibility is still missing.
- Using powers so often that you never identify the weak round.

FAQ
Common follow-up questions
What round does Impoppable end in BTD6?
Impoppable runs through Round 100. That means DDTs and the BAD are part of the normal clear, unlike Hard Standard or Half Cash medal clears that stop earlier.
Can you farm in Impoppable?
Yes. Farming is allowed in Impoppable, but it should come after the next defense checkpoint is solved. A Farm bought before camo, lead, MOAB, ceramic, or DDT coverage is ready can lose the run.
Is Impoppable the same as CHIMPS?
No. Impoppable has one-life pressure and reaches Round 100, but it does not apply the full CHIMPS restrictions. CHIMPS removes income, Monkey Knowledge, powers, and selling, so Impoppable economy plans do not transfer directly.
Is Benjamin good for Impoppable?
Benjamin can be good in Impoppable because income is allowed. He is best when the opening defense is already safe enough to survive while his economy value builds.
